Gospel Concerts
The Gospel Concert is a annual event which takes place in an area of the Village of Greenwood called "The Pines". It is a large stand of pine trees over three acres is size. The Pines is an excellent place to have a Gospel concert. As people sit among the trees they are protected from the sun and can comfortably listen to the music. The concert is held the first Sunday in August each year.
Because of the location the audience can view the concert in several ways. Most people either choose to sit on the benches close to the stage or bring their own lawn chairs. This allows them to sit wherever they like among the trees. Some people choose to sit further back because the sound is not as loud and the quality of the music is better. Others bring their cars in among the trees and appreciate being able to sit in them during the concert. There is also a parking area adjacent to The Pines. Campers and trailers are welcome and are asked to park around the edges of the property or in the area provided for parking.
Admission to the Gospel Concert is free. In order to cover the expenses there is a free will offering. No admission is charged because we want everyone to be able to attend and enjoy the music.
